June is going to be a busy month at Richmond MindBodySpirit. So, mark your calendar and join us.
It’s time to focus on the body, mind, and spirit at our June Gathering on June 10th and who better to help us do just that than Jenny Barone, a master of Tai Chi and Qigong. The ancient practices of Tai Chi and Qigong are the perfect way to integrate mind and spirit with your body.
And that’s just the beginning. As always, we will have practitioners offering energy work and readings, and vendors who will offer Essential oils and hand-crafted soaps.
Don’t forget to join us on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays for our Healing Circle. It’s a great opportunity to practice your gifts, to sample other’s energy work or intuitive skills. If you are new to the wholistic community you will feel the warm welcome the moment to step into the room.
We finish off the month with a Spiritual Prosperity Consciousness workshop with Carole Louie. Learn new ways to create abundance and to integrate your spiritual gifts with your everyday experience to manifest in the physical world.
For more details, go to our Events page.
Our May program will feature a talk by Sandy Ward, Certified Spiritual Medium by the James Van Praagh School of Mystical Arts. Sandy Ward will share her amazing story about growing up with the gift to see and talk with spirits. She will discuss the challenges and benefits of receiving messages from the other side and what it means to be a New Energy Medium versus a psychic. Sandy believes we all have varying degrees of ability to see and speak with spirits and that by sharing her story, you will know the positive energy of accepting your gift.
In the spirit of Celebrating Mother’s Day, Sandy will focus on messages from Mothers. For more information about Sandy, go to: http://www.newenergymedium.com
Spring is finally here, and there is excitement in the air. The world is bursting with new growth, and so is Richmond MindBodySpirit.
Kerstin Overath, our Crystal Skull Oracle, led the line-up for the Richmond MindBodySpirit April Gathering as our speaker and host of the Karma Cafe. Kerstin shared how she first connected with crystal skulls and how to hold and receive a message from them. Whether I held a crystal skull, or Merlin, or dragon, the message of the next step on my journey was evident.
This month we enjoyed a mini-mall with Sabrina Rieder, who was back with her AURA Suncatchers, and Wendy Brown’s (Herbalistic Soaps) new soaps for April. Wendy brought along here talented friend, Shari Smith, whose jewelry collection, Designing for Royalty, was another hit. Lastly, someone we’ve been trying to get onboard for months: Dan O’Neal with his Young Living Essential Oils. I am still enjoying all of my purchases.
Sheila Boyd, Oracle Card Reader, was back doing her thang that she does so well. New as a reader for us, Fox Mealo offered Rumi Card readings and, of course, Robyn Smith Co-Founder of RMBS had her angels at the ready for readings/healing sessions.
Last but not least, congratulations to the winners of the Door Prizes: Wendy Brown and Tom Coates.
We love that folks are opening up to their gifts and finding ways to express their creativity. We love introducing new folks to the community. There is no place in Richmond quite like the Richmond MindBodySpirit Gatherings.
Change is inevitable and resistance is futile! So, embrace the change just as you embrace the seasons.Professional Psychic, Astrologer and Success Coach, Jamie Dawn, gave us some great tips on doing just that at the March Gathering of the Richmond MindBodySpirit community. It was standing room only as folks played “musical chairs,” expressed their feelings about change, and made plans for the upcoming shifts.
Our readers, healers, practitioners, and vendors were up next before we broke into private sessions and a shopping spree.
Our co-founder, Robyn Smith, had the crowd rolling in the aisles as always before she got down to business doing readings. Carole Louie announced the release date for her new book, Conversations with a Hungry Ghost: Memoir of a Reluctant Medium. (It’s available to pre-order from Amazon.)
April’s Gathering will feature Kerstin Overath – our resident Crystal Skull Oracle – as our speaker and a great line-up of vendors, readers, healers, and practitioners. Be sure to check out the Richmond MindBodySpirit Facebook and Meetup pages for more details.
We are grateful for the new flowers that are growing in our garden and invite the sun to shine upon us with love and light.
Signs of Spring are everywhere! It is a wonderful season of renewal. We are excited to welcome Spring, to celebrate the change of the season, and be open to the possibilities about to burst forth. Join our great line-up of speakers, vendors, readers and practitioners at the Richmond MindBodySpirit March Gathering.
Be sure to check our Directory Page and stay in touch with the wonderful folks who are a part of the RMBS Community.

There is nothing like getting together with people on the path! We learned a lot about the parts of our brain, the imbalance of hormones, and what food manufacturers are doing that affect our cravings. Terri McDowell, OTR/L and Integrative Health and Wellness Coach, was amazing. It just got better during a follow-up discussion during Karma Cafe, demos with Kevin Vereen, shopping with Heather Thompson’s The Inspired Spirit shop.
The place was all abuzz during the mini-sessions with our practitioners: Ashley Jefferson, Julie Holly, Lisa “Healthy” Hazelgrove, Lucia Williams, Shay Martin and Sheila Boyd.
A special thanks to Robyn Smith Archer for planting the seeds of RMBS and to Susan Archer for providing the space to allow the seeds to grow, as well as Donna Fuller, Shay Martin and Carole Louie for organizing our events. If the smiles on people’s faces are any indication, this is going to be a great year!
What a way to end the year! Laurel Herman, The Blissed Out Chef, wowed us at our December’s Gathering with her culinary skills and inspired us to cook and eat mindfully. Here is her recipe for her yummy Aloo Sag Spinach dish. Sweet potatoes added a colorfully sweet touch to the dish.
We love the idea of eating healthy and know that sometimes we crave foods that are not so healthy, but during the Richmond MindBodySpirit’s January Gathering Terri McDowell, OTR/L and Integrative Health and Wellness Coach, will help us understand our cravings and give us some ways to conquer them. What a great way to start the new year! We will also offer readings, healing sessions and demos as well as vendors. Sign up on our Meetup page at Richmond-MindBodySpirit/events
