Welcome to Richmond MindBodySpirit

Welcome to Richmond MindBodySpirit

We are a wholistic community offering events to nourish your mind, body & spirit. Join us for our Monthly Gatherings on the 2nd Saturday and our Healing Circle on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday. We look forward to seeing you at one of our events and learning more about your journey.

Building a Spiritual Community

We are getting ready for a new season at Richmond MindBodySpirit. How timely with the Solar eclipse following a Lions Gate. It’s powerful energy!

To start this season, Laurel Herman, The Blissed Out Chef, will challenge us to use our kitchen as our medicine cabinet. Then, we invite our practitioners and anyone interested in building a spiritual community to join us for a Focus Group. We hope to have an exchange of ideas to create the vision of our role in creating such a community here in RVA. We hope you will join us.

Leaky Gut 101: The road to health is paved with good intestines.

Join us for the June Gathering and learn everything you want to know and then some about Leaky Gut and Microbiomes. You do not want to miss this talk with Terri McDowell, OTR/L & Intergrative Health and Wellness Coach.

Who knew that learning about leaky guts and microbiomes could be so fascinating or that the gut has a ‘brain’? Another example of the mind-body-spirit connection.

Multi-talented Cheryl Pallant joins the RMBS May Gathering

I first met Cheryl Pallant when I was working on a short-story. My long-time friend Barbara Marsh, former owner of the Natural Awakenings Magazine, recommended Cheryl to help me overcome a writer’s block. Long story short, I published my story and a book and now I am pleased to have her join us at the May Gathering and share her amazing story with us.

Everyday Essential Oils

Dan O’Neal moved to Richmond from his home town of Baltimore in 1989. It was an important move in his life, placing him on a path of Healing … spiritually, mentally, emotionally, and physically. He trained in Reiki and Healing Touch and travelled after work in the evenings for a year and a half to study Massage Therapy at The Virginia School of Massage in Charlottesville in the mid 90’s. He learned about the use of therapeutic grade Essential Oils early in 2011 and has incorporated them into his life and healing practice ever since with a deep passion.

Dan will share his knowledge of the use of about ten or more therapeutic grade essential oils in everyday life for Mind, Body, and Spirit (including emotions). Learn about the history of essential oils, what is an  Essential Oil, some first aid using certain Essential Oils, and how to use oils with our pets. Discover the benefits of replacing household cleaners and personal care items with Essential Oils. Dan will also share some of his oils with you for a personal experience of their effects.

For more information about in-house education and sharing for small groups, contact Dan at 804-690-6303.

What goes around comes around

Thanks to everyone who came out to the Richmond MindBodySpirit February Gathering. Carole Louie shared a few of the things she has learned during her research about reincarnation and an easy exercise to tap into a past life as well as a demonstration about how she combines her gift as a medium with energy work and past life regression therapy.  However, you do not have to belief in reincarnation to give and receive love because what goes around really does come back around.

An astronaut, a neurosurgeon, and a growing spiritual community

What do astronaut Edgar Mitchell, founder of the Institute of Noetic Science, and neurosurgeon Eben Alexander III, M.D. have in common? They are unafraid to go where few have gone before.

edgar and eben

Edgar Mitchell was suspended in space in 1971 as he piloted the command module. With the rotation, he could see the earth, moon, and sun pass by his window every few minutes.

The immensity and serenity of the universe struck me in an entirely new way, out there, suspended between the great blue jewel of earth and the dusky moon we were leaving behind. The setting was perfect. I suddenly sensed the profound consciousness of the universe – how it is completely interconnected and aware –      an absolutely indescribable awareness. My life changed forever. (Edgar Mitchell)

Mitchell’s experience inspired him to create the Institute of Noetic Science (IONS) to continue his exploration.

During a week-long coma, Eben Alexander III, M.D. faced a near death experience that confronted his training and beliefs about the brain and yet his experience on the other side gave Alexander a greater sense of conscious awareness beyond the physical body. His latest book on the subject, Living in a Mindful Universe: a Neurosurgeon’s Journey into the Heart of Consciousness follows his N.Y. Times Bestselling books Proof of Heaven and Map of Heaven.

Like Mitchell and Alexander, Richmond MindBodySpirit is a growing community of folks who loves to explore consciousness. From alternative healers, psychics, mediums, and folks on a spiritual journey, we are open to learn more about this journey on this big beautiful planet.

RMBS is pleased to partner with Central VA IONS Community and St. Mary’s Episcopal Church to present the Living in a Mindful Universe and Into the Heart of Consciousness Event with Eben Alexander, M.D. and Karen Newell, co-founder of Sacred Acoustics, on January 19 and January 20, 2018. For more information, go to our Events page.

The perfect gift

If you are wondering what to give someone you love, consider a gift of an experience of consciousness. It’s a gift that will keep on giving.

Eben Alexander, M.D. will share his journey from neurosurgeon, to his near death experience, and beyond. Karen Newell will share her Sacred Acoustics and meditation techniques to tap into another level of consciousness. Together, they open the door to a better understanding about the nature of consciousness and what that means to our lives.

Richmond MindBodySpirit is pleased to partner with Central VA IONS Community and St. Mary’s Episcopal Church to bring this exciting program to Richmond, VA and for a limited time, you can purchase tickets to both events for $100, a $50 savings.

A Celebration of Light

As we count the days to the Winter Solstice, the nights are longer heralding the coming of the Winter season. Just as the seasons change, the days begin their cycle of becoming longer. We celebrate this transition from one season to the next telling us that all things are in Divine Order and we celebrate the Light in each and every person.

Join us for the celebration!
